March break

If you already live on a tropical island, do you still get the itch to escape to another tropical island for March break? What if the island you live on is Bermuda, would you still want to visit another island, one with warmer or lets say a hotter climate. Ain't Bermuda hot enough this winter? We've hardly had any rain. With people March breaking in Bermuda from other parts of the world, would you still March break elsewhere? Where would you go? Florida, Cuba, the Caribbean?

When I lived in Bermuda, I went to Barbados for my honeymoon.
Having now travelled all over the world, including several islands, Bermuda is still my favourite, with the prettiest beaches of all.

You can travel freely to Cuba? Cool...

I think I'd vacation out West...say New Mexico - Santa Fe, or Arizona! Just for something different...mountains instead of beach! I can certainly see where all the partying college kids MIGHT just be a bit much to get used to. My husband and I were in South Padre Island for Spring Break one year. Wow! Felt like WE were on spring break too! Have to admit it brought back some great memories of party city!! :)

Anon: I couldn't agree more. I've only been to Mexico, FL, Cuba & one other island and Bermuda by far has the pretties beaches, each distinct with its own personality.

ZEN: Do you mean from Cayman? Or as a Canadian? Yes, we can to both. Why, can't you? Or do Americans need a visa?

BB: Yeah. I've often told my husband that since we live in Bermuda there's not point going to another tropical beach destination. We can just take time off and spend it here and won't have to pay any hotel costs! The good thing is Bda has wickedly cheap deals to many spots in the US...making it ideal to explore many American destinations.

Let me know if you're ever in the New York city area. Or heck even Arizona or New Mexico, I love to vacation in the Southwest. I'm not much of a beach girl and am terrified of going out in the sun in skimpy clothes so I've never been to the Caribbean.

You bring up an interesting question here. I agree with Bermudabluez... you should go see the mountains especially if you are into hiking. Tennessee has some gorgeous landscape and fun hiking trails.

Bombay Girl: Oh no...I so don't want to...

Zen: I will let you know the next time I'm in those places...for sure. I am sure you will shirk of all your inhibitions once you're staring at the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean...or Bermuda.

Roshani: I love hiking and nature trails. Bermuda being rocky and hilly has quite a few of those...but I'm sure none as intense as the South West. Someday soon I shall visit!
