Sandy floors

Living on an island means the perputal presence of sand in your car, at all and any time of the year. It also means never having to clean it out...completely. Because you never will.

    I always keep an inch or so of sand on my car floor. Then when people get out I tell them to make sure they don't spill any of my sand.

    I also like to keep sand in my shoes, especially if I'm leaving the island.
